The poncho is knit with 2 strands and thick needles (5 and 6). You knit with both colours during the entire work, also on the plain colour areas - this to ensure even thickness all over the work. It is fun and fast to knit - the extra loose sleeves are knitted from left-overs and may turn out differently than those on the picture as the result depends on the colours that you have left.
